My name is Dominic Sheahan-Stahl. I'm originally from Mount Pleasant MI. I'm the oldest of 6 kids from a traditional Irish Catholic Family. I have always loved performing, honing my craft beginning at a very young age. While attending high school at Sacred Heart Academy I realized this was more than a hobby. So I packed my bags and naturally moved to NYC. I graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in 1999 and I've been performing professionally ever since.
In October of 2011, I was invited to give the Keynote speech at my Alma Mater. I was asked to speak about my success and the important life lessons I've learned. What made this honor special was my youngest brother would be among the Class of 2012. Two weeks before I was scheduled to fly home I received a phone call from my mother in tears telling me...........I was "no longer welcome to speak." The reason given, I annouced my engagement to my boyfriend on Facebook. Which the Principal and Archdiocese deemed too openly gay.
Dominic was honored as the 10 Pro-Faith voices of LGBT community of 2012.
In response to this act of Discrimination and very low point in my life. I have choosen to create something positive. I have created The Live Through Love Foundation which will bring awareness to the many struggles and battles of Discrimination. Helps us be peaceful warriors and spread the message Live Through Love.
